As part of on my life-long journey of professional and personal health discovery, I added to their knowledge via discoveries of my own which expanded understanding, and I invite you to consider doing the same. The information that follows is more than just a bunch of interesting points; this information really could change your life for the better!
We need to lay a sound basis so that what follows may become genuinely useful helpful and life altering insightful information to you. Rather than just spewing out just one more bit of interesting but not particularly useful or helpful information destined to become more recycled electrons.
Overall wellness, or lack thereof, can be tied to the food we eat, our state of mind, Exercise (or lack thereof), genetics, epigenetics, commensals (microbiome), and the environment. That sounds simple enough, so what is the cause of the explosion of heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism. As well as Parkinson’s, type 1 and two diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimers and irritable bowel syndromes just to name some of the main ones. Why? Why isn’t there a consensus as to the causes and solutions? Study the material on this page and then you will be able to answer that question yourself.
For 20 plus years of personally and professionally exploring that question, and I have laid out What you will find here are the stepping stones I have left for your path to gaining an accurate understanding of both causes of illness and corrections. Providing a visionary view right now of the unfolding future of what I can described as an; integrative, functional, holistic approach to wellness and medicine.
There is no one size fits all diet or plan, but when we at last find those missing pieces that empower us, we as humans are quite capable of making the wise choices based on that acquired understanding.
As it turns out what we take in is equally important as what we leave out. So let us start with what to leave out, because what we take in is not just related to our health, it is a primary vector of illness. You may not be able to complete this journey in one sitting. Perhaps the largest impact on my personal health came in response to lifestyle changes I made in response to the video below.

No wonder anyone who talks about gluten sensitivity or speaks in an unflattering manner about wheat is discredited or treated as a threat, people are literally addicted in a way that is so seemingly innocuous, that they do not even realize they are protecting the perpetrators of abuse to their health.
If your love of bread pasta etc. is so profound that not only is hard to imagine ever giving them up, but it seems unthinkable, you might have a wheat addiction?
That is why opiate blockers work to inhibit appetite for obese people who need to lose weight. In the article by Scientific American titled “Wheat is a Drug Like Morphine that is why Opiate Blockers Act as Diet Suppressors” this fact is no longer merely speculation.
Dr. William Davis goes into detail about how it is a known fact that “Wheat is an opiate”, where he says quote “And, of course, I don’t mean that wheat is an opiate in the sense that you like it so much that you feel you are addicted. Wheat is truly addictive.” He also says in a CBS interview that modern wheat is a “perfect, chronic poison.” We are talking about all wheat even organic, whatever name it goes by.
I realise that this can be shocking, It took me almost 15 years to finally let wheat go for 2 weeks as was suggested by Dr Mark Hyman in the video “Gluten: What You Don’t Know Might Kill You”, that I experienced first hand the following results of quitting wheat for just two weeks; no more sleep apnea, almost complete relief of chronic fatigue, no more foggy head.
There is more that occurred in the way of immediately noticeable health improvements, but it has now been so long ago it is fading from my memory, like my wheat addiction. My cravings of my previous wheat addiction have become disdain, not merely because of knowledge and attitude, but because once you escape the grip of its habit and make healthier replacement choices. Also, an important point to make here before you run out and buy your gluten free products, as gluten free products are currently made, with tons of high glycemic index flours, they are worse that wheat when it comes to increased risk of insulin resistance and diabetes.
Since you have read this far you may be wondering what does a person eat who quits wheat and also opts to leave out gluten-free bread and such (depending how and what they are made of)? The short answer is that replacements are possible for every food we wish to omit that we come to learn is not really good for us. Single ingredient whole foods is the short answer, but the good news is that after a period of adjustment, not only will you feel better, but you will be truly content and satisfied in ways that were never possible from addictive foods that really are not as healthy as they have been portrayed to be, and you won’t have to take anyone else’s word for it because your own experience will be your testimony. We will get into that part of the equation more in another installment, but I will include some tips right now so that you can see there is hope. By now, hopefully, you are beginning to realize the gravity of this issue, and even if you realize that this situation is dangerous, unfortunately, it is even worse. You have no doubt heard of gut permeability aka leaky gut? If you watched Dr. Davis’s video above then, you know that gliadin always clips the Intestinal villi, and that is true that this happens to everyone not just people with celiacs disease. The reason people can get away with eating a type of food that is damaging the gut in this way is that it regrows in a matter of hours, but it eventually it takes its toll on everyone, some sooner some later, most will never even draw the association of their food choices on the matter.
