The man associated with the above epitaph, Mr. Borlaug, now needs a revised epitaph that should read: The Man Who We Thought Saved A Billion Lives, instead, has condemned the world population for generations to come, to lives of addiction, slow poisoning, suffering, disease, and misery!
Back in the 1960s world hunger ended, or at least this is what the average person mentally associated regarding the development of semi-dwarf wheat and by extension the development of GMOs and glyphosate pesticide. The world welcomed the idea of producing larger harvests, in particular when equated with feeding an ever growing world population.
In the 1960s, Norman Ernst Borlaug, B.Sc. Biology and ph.D. in plant pathology credited with having developed semi-dwarf, disease-resistant, high-yield, varieties of wheat. For his perceived accomplishment at the time he received the Congressional Gold Metal, the Nobel Peace Prize, and credited with being “The Man Who Saved A Billion Lives.” Now that perception of accomplishment once bestowed on Mr. Boulag needs to be overturned. Not only does the development of semi-dwarf wheat need to be recognized as a blunder of epic proportion, but we also need to understand it’s development as a scourge that is decimating the lives of everyone who encounters it, whether immediately apparent or not.
As well as contributing to a host of interrelated problems, including the loss of biodiversity of species of grain that do not have the problems and issues modified species do, due to the replacement virtually everywhere with these newer-problematic wheat species.
Ending world hunger, by the development of semi-dwarf wheat, not only never fulfilled that lofty goal, not even the common good was served! Mr. Borlaug’s revised epitaph should now read “The Man Who We Thought Saved A Billion Lives, instead, has condemned the world population for generations to come, to lives of addiction, slow poisoning, suffering, disease, and misery!”
Does this analogy seem harsh to you? It won’t if you read everything here including the linked material and at least watch the videos. Then if you also read our related articles, then there will no longer be any doubt that we are not harsh enough.
As the research is unfolding, it is very clear that not only is the creation of GMOs and the use of pesticides such as glyphosate, but is also not helpful rather it is harmful at many levels. There is more than enough evidence pointing to the fact that the GMOs and pesticide-partnered-patented seed crops are counterproductive!
So what specifically is the problem? If only it were just one issue, this article is most certainly not enough space to go over the multitude of questions that need addressing in this regard, so at the outset I will consider this a series, but lets at least start with an issue most people are aware of, gluten.Gluten sensitivity, no doubt you have seen how much of the media discredits the idea that there is no problem with wheat, and how “gluten sensitivity” is as if synonymous with a psychosomatic illness. Anyone who looks carefully at the hard evidence can laugh at that idea anymore. It is not merely gluten sensitivity that is the problem; it is gliadin! To comprehend the myriad of issues that relate to health in an up front and personal manner, a good place to start is to watch the video below and meet the man who will save more than a billion lives, for generations to come:
William Davis – Wheatlessness: A 21st Century Health Strategy
There will be those who read this article whose gut reaction combined with cognitive dissonance will cause them to want to defend the legacy of this once thought of as a healthy grain. Alas, it is an impossible task, because to succeed such apologists would have to justify the many problems its attends. However, there is not any possibility of providing any sound reasoning that justifies any use whatsoever in upon close inspection!
What proofs could there possibly be that anyone would believe? Who would believe in the sensibility of poisoning the land and the people of the earth other than the blind-materialists that are willing to sacrifice everything and who will justify and say anything just to retain their narcissistic-profit?
In fact, it is not the altruism of feeding the world and feeding it well that drives the current trends regarding farming and grains, rather, it is avarice, greed, ineptness combined with profoundly misguided blundering that fuels the current practices for growing foodstuffs such as wheat. There are so many scientifically proven problems the difficulty is not being able to cite evidence; the problem is choosing where to start, and what of to focus on during this precious time! How about starting with something like this: “EPA: No Known Antidote for Glyphosate Poisoning.” Which is to say there is no known antidote for a large dose of glyphosate, the same material that ends up being in all the gain we eat that was grown using it, and thus is slowly poisoning us with a substance with no known antidote.
The justifications and misdirections regarding any potentially damaging to their credibility information that comes out, when it comes to the response and position taken by industry players demonstrate a shameless that would make a psychopath blush, their capacity to misdirect and conceal is something an illusionist might be proud, me, not so much.
The use of GMO semi-dwarf wheat in conjunction with glyphosate entraps and causes such entanglements concerning the web of life with such intricacy and complexity; it may both peak the interest of the astutely curious as well as overwhelm even the most tenacious, in any case obfuscating or making it difficult to grasp an overall view.
So let’s paint a picture that makes it easier to see; so called roundup-ready grain is grown with glyphosate which we are lead to believe supposedly only affects weeds, or that is what many mistakenly but the evidence says otherwise; “USDA Scientist: Monsanto’s Roundup Herbicide Damages soil.” The truth is that glyphosate causes problems with the web of life starting with the soil-based organisms that usually break down minerals and aid the gut of cows whose normal diet of grass included these organisms.
Now, as herein outlined, with the use of glyphosate those organisms are absent from the cows diet. Also, if the cows eat grass grown where the soil is now depleted of soil-based organisms from the use of glyphosate that then is yet another way the cows gut biome is affected. Those cows have also been fed the grains directly, which is not their natural diet, and compound this already tragic situation with the use of antibiotics to fatten the cows, the situation goes from being dire to being catastrophic.
A common misconception is that antibiotics are or have been employed in the dairy and cattle industries to fight disease, although that is partially true what most people do not know is that antibiotics are used to fatten cows. By changing the gut biome of the cow, among other biological changes that fattening occurs. Have you noticed there is an obesity epidemic as well as gut and immune problems and resistant bacteria related to humans? Do you see any corollary? We eat cows and their milk, we get exposed to the changes in the cows microbiome and it then affects our gut.
I will now focus on this set of issues, because, as it turns out, these issues are now clearly at the heart of perhaps as much as 90 % of disease and illness, as concerns cause, prevention as well as reversal! We now know that the genetically speaking we are only 1% human DNA.
Let me repeat that and cast a light that hopefully clarifies this issue better than I have seen it explained elsewhere. If you tally all the DNA of the human body and look at where it comes from, by volume, only 1% of our DNA produces of the physical body. When you look at the total amount of organisms that constitute the symbiosis that the human body and its functionality consist of, then 99% of the DNA is bacteria, etc. and, in particular, it is located in the human gut.
Epigenetics, we will get to that in a moment concerning this rather complex web of life situation. Dr. Perlmutter drew the analogy of the human biome (gut bacteria); as a biological equivalent of the “cloud” on the internet. He wrote the book “Grain Brain”, which, as a neurologist, shows how the gut and what we eat relates specifically to the brain and its health or disease.
